Escalation and Intervention Pathways is the systematic study and design of conditions, interventions and safeguards affecting children or families within digital child protection.
Why this matters
Children have evolving capabilities and limited power over many systems affecting them. Errors in escalation and intervention pathways can create developmental, relational, educational, health or safety consequences that persist.

Which escalation pathway delivers timely help while preserving evidence, child agency and procedural fairness?
Hypotheses
Risk-tiered escalation with child-centred explanation and warm referral will improve service connection over abrupt account intervention.
