Resilience Formation is the systematic study and design of conditions, interventions and safeguards affecting children or families within developmental safety.

Why this matters

Children have evolving capabilities and limited power over many systems affecting them. Errors in resilience formation can create developmental, relational, educational, health or safety consequences that persist.

Hypotheses

Guided reflection, trusted-adult support and graduated challenge will build resilience more effectively than avoidance-only safety strategies.
