Definition
Assessment Integrity is the systematic study and design of conditions, interventions and safeguards affecting children or families within education and schooling.
Why this matters
Children have evolving capabilities and limited power over many systems affecting them. Errors in assessment integrity can create developmental, relational, educational, health or safety consequences that persist.
Research questions
Which assessment designs produce valid evidence of student capability when AI tools are available?
Hypotheses
Process evidence, oral defence and authentic tasks will preserve validity better than detection-focused controls.
