Definition
Academic Integrity is the systematic study and design of conditions, interventions and safeguards affecting children or families within education and schooling.
Why this matters
Children have evolving capabilities and limited power over many systems affecting them. Errors in academic integrity can create developmental, relational, educational, health or safety consequences that persist.
Research questions
Which institutional practices reduce dishonest AI use while encouraging legitimate learning support?
Hypotheses
Clear use categories, teachable attribution and redesign will reduce misconduct more than surveillance and punishment alone.
